TNG Limited has engaged McMahon Services to deliver non-process infrastructure (NPI) at the Mount Peake vanadium-titanium-iron project located approximately 235 kilometres north of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory.
“We are delighted to add McMahon Services - a high calibre Australian contractor with an existing string footprint in the Northern Territory - to our project development team,” TNG Managing Director and CEO Paul Burton said.
The NPI will include - but it not limited to - haul roads, airfield upgrades, concentrate handling infrastructure, water and power infrastructure, accommodation facilities and concentrate storage facilities.
McMahon Services will be delivering works at both Mount Peake mine and the Darwin TIVAN Processing Facility. The company will undertake the works parallel to the Front-End Engineering and Design (FEED) study being progressed by German company SMS Group.
Following their engagement, McMahon Services will now continue planning for the NPI as well as finalise scope of works and scheduling for works at both sites.
TNG and McMahon Services will be working collaboratively to produce tendering documents and implement the strategy and delivery framework for the works. This collaboration will extend to any approvals, capital budgeting as well as detailed project scheduling which will progress the detailed design and construction with contractors.
