Evolution Mining has recently awarded a three-year contract to SRG Global for works on Evolution’s various gold mines across Australia including the Mount Rawdon and Mount Carlton mines in Queensland and the Cowal open pit mine in New South Wales.
Under this $78 million contract, SRG Global will deliver drill and blast services to Evolution’s mines. SRG Global will be utilising its existing fleet to deliver the works.
The new contract also has an option to extend operations for a further two years which will bring the contract value to $115 million.
“This term contract is a significant achievement for SRG Global and our mining services team,” SRG Global Managing Director David Macgeorge said.
The Mount Rawdon mine is located 75 kilometres south west of Bundaberg and the Mount Carlton mine is located 150 kilometres south of Townsville in Queensland. The Cowal open pit mine, on the other hand, is located 350 kilometres west of Sydney and 40 kilometres north-east of West Wyalong in New South Wales.

The final approvals have been secured by Emmerson Resources, with project partner Evolution Mining, from the Northern Territory Government to launch production at the Edna Beryl gold operation in the Tennant Creek area.
Evolution Mining moves forward with the expansion of the Cowal gold project in New South Wales with the contract for underground mine development awarded to PYBAR.
Evolution Mining has been given the approval to push through with further works at the Mt Carlton mine located approximately 150 kilometres south of Townsville in Queensland. In addition, $60 million has been invested towards this project.
