Sydney-based Heyday5 – a recently acquired subsidiary of Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) – has secured over $50 million in new electrical services work contracts for various major development projects.
“Heyday5 was acquired to enable SCEE to diversify into the buoyant east coast commercial market and it is pleasing to be able to announce these successes so soon after the transaction,” said SCEE Managing Director Graeme Dunn.

The company will also be working on the Midnight project, which is Canberra’s first high-density development along the new light rail route.
“The awards provide a significant boost to Heyday5’s already healthy order book and their tendering levels remain high against a large opportunity pipeline,” Mr Dunn said.

Another major milestone has been reached on the massive Sydney Metro development in New South Wales, with the announcement of the confirmed locations for seven Western Sydney Metro stations. This will get construction underway on the project as soon as next year.
The first sod has been turned to signal the beginning of works on the $5 billion Western Sydney Aerotropolis science park located on a 280-hectare site at Luddenham. Western Sydney-based property group Celestino will own and build the new multi-billion dollar Sydney Science Park.
