About MPC Earthmoving

Established in 2004, MPC Earthmoving has grown from two dozers in agricultural work to a plant hire fleet specialising in earthmoving and haulage throughout the eastern seaboard of Australia.

The Business Challenge

To succeed in the industry, Director Peter Ausling wanted a strong and diverse business development approach to build a consistent pipeline of confirmed work.

“Never have all your eggs in one basket. We grew significantly within a 12 month period and knew that we needed to spread out and develop our lead generation methods,” said Ausling.

“We surveyed the market to find something that knew what we were about and could connect us with the type of work we wanted to see.”

MPC Earthmoving needed a business development tool that could be incorporated into their existing business structure, and adapt to changing equipment availability and locations.

The Solution

PlantMiner’s tailored approach to lead generation meant that from the get-go, MPC Earthmoving controlled the leads they received.

“Through PlantMiner, we get both tenders and confirmed work. But what we quote on really depends on the time. We normally try to focus on the long-term confirmed work that gets our machines and teams moving in the short term.

“Each lead generated through PlantMiner gets us all the information we need to quote effectively, and gets our foot in the door with the project’s decision maker. I save time each RFQ by not having to personally do the background work to get the relevant contact and job info.”

Since joining in 2014, MPC Earthmoving has won work in Armidale, Narrabri, Werris Creek and Muswellbrook. The most recent includes an eight-month contract of heavy earthmoving equipment with Whittens to work on their Mount Pleasant Operation in the Hunter Valley, NSW.
